PO Box 7537, Leslie Street Toronto, ON M4M 1B3 | 905.880.4945 | Registered Charity #89531 1066 RR0001 15 Next Steps: Winter 2019 and Summer 2020 Following a successful summer with the #GBFTrashTeam, efforts will continue to be made this winter. Georgian Bay Forever is working towards planning ice cleanups and educational events with coastal communities . Summer 2020 will mark the second year for shoreline cleanups aided by Georgian Bay Forever. The #GBFTrashTeam will continue to recruit volunteers to pitch in towards a cleaner Georgian Bay for all to enjoy. We will continue to use trash tally sheets in order to gain valuable data on what items are landing on our shorelines, and where. This allows GBF, its partners, and volunteers to work towards tackling the big litter items at their source – so in the future, we won’t have to clean them up from our shorelines. GBF has these programs to mitigate waste and plastic pollution in the environment. Please join them, and if you see an opportunity where you can help grow them through communications or funding, please let us know. - Arrange for your community to do a shoreline clean- up.
