GBF 2021 - Phragmites Report

16 Wolverine Beach to Macey’s Bay and Quarry Island Wolverine Beach to Macey’s Bay saw 35 sites enter the monitor/ eradicated stage and 8 sites were controlled leaving only 17 not controlled. Quarry Island has many challenges including high water levels, creating unsafe conditions for control, and massive, dense, monoculture stands. In 2021 , truxors will be brought to the area to remove these massive stands. This will tremendously benefit the area to stop spread from this island and increase the number of stands under management control on their way to eradication.
