The photographs from this time period include some incredible and often amusing glimpses into leisure life, tourism, work, and culture in Georgian Bay.

They also reflect much of the tension and unrest of this turbulent period, which included the Progressive Era, the World Wars, the Great Depression, and the continued systemic mistreatment of Indigenous peoples.
